Heat Wave?

Not here.

Yes it's hot, but not nearly as hot as it usually would be by this time of year.

It's only 90 degrees right now. It is usually 105+ by now, so I'm very thankful for those 90 degrees. I was reading a few blogs this morning and every single one was talking about the extreme heat they were experiencing. So I went to weather.com to check the weather here because I knew it wasn't extremely hot, and I was curious. :) This is the picture I see:

I live in California, near the bottom and towards the left. The temperatures there compared to like everywhere else are significantly lower. It seems like it's that way all the time. Last year there was a heat wave going on everywhere but here. The West Coast is the best coast guys! :)

It is supposed to be 96 here Friday, but looking at that map and seeing the crazy hot temperatures in places where it normally isn't that crazy hot, it's kind of funny. :) I'm DREADING the 105+ days. I know they're coming. It is horrible because our air conditioner doesn't work.

What's the weather like in your part of the world? :)

*stay cool*

I don't have to pretend anymore...

That's me behind the wheel of a car, and the best part is, it isn't a fake picture. I really drove after this picture was taken. That makes my heart swell with happiness. :)

Forever, I would take pictures of myself behind the steering wheel and wish I could actually drive, and now that I can, I'm so happy. :D

I drove with my mom yesterday for the first time, and I really thought that my mom would be the calm one and my dad would be the nervous one. Well, my mom was a nervous wreck, and I was driving really good! It wasn't nearly as scary as the first time.

I wasn't even nervous like at all, and we pull out of my gate, and the street we pull out onto is usually really busy, and it's a 45 mph zone and I looked both ways, and there were no cars at all as far as I could see, so I start to pull out and then I hear a honk and there is a truck like 2 inches away from me. He had to be going 60 mph, because he came out of nowhere. My mom even was like, "Where did he come from?" So maybe that wasn't the best way to start out driving with her, but I was perfectly fine after that.

I can't park though. It's frustrating.

After we tried parking, I drove to the church to pick my little sister and some kids up and my mom kept telling me to slow down, but I wasn't even going the speed limit! haha She was really nervous.

I haven't driven with my dad yet. I was thinking he would be the nervous one, but he might actually be the calm one; I think he'll be a backseat driver though. haha

What I'm really excited for is driving with my friends! :)

Driving is scary! (but I like it)

So yesterday was my big day! I finally can drive! My instructor was really nice and like 6 or 7 of my friends also had her so that was pretty cool. We started driving on the real road right away which was absolutely terrifying. I thought we were going to start in a parking lot or a small neighborhood, but we started on a road that you drive 45 mph on. That was scary, but I did really good.

I had one little mishap. I though she said left turn, but I guess she said left lane change and so I slowed down and started to turn left onto this one street (which I guess was illegal...) and she was like "Don't slow down, maintain your speed." So I step on the gas and the car goes like swoooosh across the street and I literally almost drive right through my friend's fence and the car stops on the wrong side of the road and there is someone from my church staring straight at me. It was embarrassing and scary, but if it weren't for that, I'd say driving is really fun. :D

The driving instructor said I was really good for a new driver and she said I was awesome. So, yay! :)

I didn't get any pictures of me with the instructor or in the car, which I'm really not that disappointed about. I will take some pictures of myself driving today with my mom for the first time. I'm not too scared about that; I am kind of scared about driving with my dad, he is going to be a nervous wreck.

This is the only picture I took that semi had to do with driving. This is me looking out the window waiting for the instructor. :)

So I'd say I like driving. It's nerve-racking, but it is exciting and it's something I've always wanted to do.

I'm gonna go drive in a bit with my mom to go pick up my sister and two other kids. I'm not sure if I'll be driving home...haha

Crop Top again. :)

Yesterday, I went to visit my grandma. :) I wore this outfit. It was really comfortable and I think I'm quickly becoming obsessed with crop tops...I'm probably going to be wearing one again today. :) Yes, three days in a row cuz I'm cool like that. (haha jk)

I apologize for the dirty mirror/messy room pictures. haha it's the guest room at my grandma's house where the boys sleep. :D

Creeper face! hehe

Mint crop top: Thrift Store
Tank top: Walmart
Skirt: Thrift Store.

This is a fresh out of the pool hair/face look. :)

My grandma makes the MOST delicious spaghetti sauce ever! I hate spaghetti sauce, but not my grandma's. it is like heaven!

After dinner, my dad and I went to the thrift store (I got a necklace and a skirt!) and then we went to McDonald's for cookies. :)

McDonald's cookies are so good. SOOOO good.

It was a really nice day, so we had the window's down as we cruised down the road. :) Yesterday was a pretty good day.

Eating my cookie, the wind blowing in my face. :D

And today should be awesome. At 6 PM, I START DRIVING!!! I am so excited. I'm sure you can expect a post about that tomorrow! :D EEEEK!

Bike-a-thon! (outfit post/life post.)

Yay for another outfit post! I love doing these! Ok so, I loved this outfit. Neon is my obsession...and I love crop tops. I took all these pictures with  my ipod in the church bathroom after the 25 mile bikathon haha.

FUN FACT: I only wear pink if it is neon. :) (some exceptions, I guess but hardly any. pink=yuck.)

NEON PINK CROP TOP: Thrift Store (less than 25 cents.)
WHITE TANK TOP: Walmart ($4.88)
DENIM SKIRT: Thrift store forever ago ($4??)
PLAID CONVERSE STYLE TENNIS SHOES: Payless ($4.25 with a coupon!!!)

So here is where I talk about the bikathon! It was actually really fun although incredibly painful.

We got to the church at 6:00 am and then we all got into vans/trucks/cars and got to the lake where the bike trail was. We all took a picture and then we were off. The first few miles weren't bad at all, and it was incredibly peaceful. There was a heavy fog over the lake and it was beautiful, and the sun came out while I was riding and that was gorgeous too.

For the first 15 miles or so, I was pretty much riding by myself.

the lake, well some of it, i was moving while i took this picture haha
Also took this picture while moving haha, isn't that just attractive lol I was so scared I was going to fall while taking the picture lol

One of my friends haha
So around mile 15, well maybe mile 10, my friend Christian started riding with me and we finished it off together. It was nice having someone to talk to while riding, it made the last few miles pass quickly.
We found a turtle!!! (it's peeing....haha)

He was like, "No, I wanna be in the picture too!" So I had to take another one. haha

So at the end, I was EXTREMELY sore and exhausted, but I am not as sore today as I was expecting to be, probably because I ate bananas (YUCK!), took a hot epsom salt bath, and some ibuprofen.

We raised a lot of money from the bikathon, and it was a lot of fun. :) I don't want to do another one though haha

I'm also proud of myself for going all 25 miles!!! :)

A little update :P

I really need to blog more about things that aren't exactly pointless lol but this is just gonna be a quick little life update cuz I have some exciting things to share that I can't contain any longer!

If you read my blog often, you know I'm obsessed with driving! I literally have wanted to drive forever. Ever since I knew what it was, seriously. I would sit in my dad's lap and steer the wheel when I was little and countdown the days! Then the economy got...tough and driving is expensive. $300 for classes just so I can drive? Other states have it lucky! haha Now everything is working out perfectly. We found a cheap driving class, well a cheaper driving class, with a payment plan, and my grandma told me she would pay for my first lesson!!!!! PRAISE GOD! I am so ecstatic! I cannot contain my excitement! I called today to schedule a lesson and tomorrow I will know when I will be driving for the first time ever, and I don't know if it is such a big deal to other people, but to me, it is a CRAZY big deal and ecstatic is like the only word I can think of to describe my emotions.

Saturday I have a bike-a-thon. 25 miles. twenty-five!! That's crazy. I'll be wearing a cute outfit, so I'm gonna be doing an outfit post on that.

I'm also going to try to think of some meaningful posts, something deep and thoughtful, and moving...yeah haha Well, I'm gonna be off now! Thank you for reading my blog! I appreciate it so much!! :D

today...

Today I am going to study. Study. Study. Study.

Tomorrow I am going to take my permit test. I took it before and I passed the first time, but since my permit expired, I have to take it again and it's been a little over a year and now I have to get more questions right than I did before. I should be fine. I am just going to STUDY! I really want to pass!!! Once I get my permit, I am going to schedule behind-the-wheel driver training and then after that I can finally drive!!! I'm an excited person, yo! :D

Somewhere inbetween all my studying I'd like to organize my room, workout, and eat strawberries. :D

see ya all later. (southern accent. :D)

Watch out, I have a gun.

Camp Pendleton fieldtrip. :)

*wow, so I was looking through my drafts and I never published this! this is from April I think.*

So in April, my school took a field trip to Camp Pendleton, a marine base in Oceanside. It was a lot of fun. We actually got to shoot guns which was really cool. The pictures of us posing with guns--ok those guns were HEAVY.
I love how it looks like I'm shooting him.

WRONG way to hold a gun!

yes, be afraid.

awww my little friend actually looks handsome. (happy bday by the way, brudda!)

The rooms where we got to shoot! Wooo! haha

Very heavy grenade launcher. VERY HEAVY! HAHA When Christian let go of it, my wrist  fell  and it was quite painful...

all 3 of us got cut by the pistols haha . ow
It was quite a fun trip! :)

Just chillin'

Today I woke up rather early for summer (6:59 am. :D) and went on the computer a bit, then I took my little brother for a really long walk/run. It was really nice out today. Usually the weather is in the 90-100's by May, and by June, we are all sweating to death. Today it was like freezing for us Southern California people, like 64 in June? unheard of! It was awesome, I know it'll warm up later, but having it be cold for a while was awesome. Cold weather is mah favvorrriitteee. :) I always say that 54 degrees is my favorite temperature and I like it overcast and rainy and *sigh* I love fall, even though we don't get very much of a fall/winter here. :(

How creepy is this picture? haha I feel like every post needs a picture, so I was looking through some of the pictures on this computer, and wow, I creep myself out! haha. I like my headphones though. Legit sound.

I think I need to dedicate an entire post to this. ^^^ Go-kart riding in my friends huge backyard...amazing. haha Look at his face! LOL I'm glad I still look human! haha

Well, I might post later, maybe not. I think I should take my camera out and take some pictures. :) Have a good day everyone!

:D

Who I Am.

I'm Tabitha.

I'm 17.

My birthday is March 27, 1995.

I have blue eyes.

My hair is ever-changing. Naturally it's a dark blonde/light mousy brown.

I'm 5'1.

I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe.

I'm a lover of life.

I'm a Christian.

I'm a die-hard Laker fan. (basketball in general, I love.)

Cake and ice cream are my weaknesses.

Neon yellow...that's my favorite color.

The ocean is like a part of my soul. I could spend all day playing in the water, digging my toes in the sand, letting the waves carry me to shore. I love it.

I love photographs. My whole life I've loved them.

I like taking pictures.

I love shopping. Any kind of shopping. Clothes, groceries, shoes.

I love writing. I like to take words and make sense of them on paper.

I love my friends and family and I don't tell them enough.

I love sunsets. I love sunrises.

I love taking walks. Especially with people I love.

I'm still a kid, and I always will be one at heart.

I don't like animals. at all.

I like exercise.

I'm ichthiophobic. That's an intense fear of fish.

I like babies. I like little kids. I like junior highers.

Immature is a word boring people use to describe fun people. If that's true, than I'm immature.

I'm myself. That is who I am.

There's more to me than meets the eye.

I'm always thinking, day dreaming, making up fantasies in my head.

I could probably think of more things to write, but for now, that's all I have to say.

Who am I? That is who I am.
