I honestly cannot wrap my mind around the fact that it is 2013. 2012 flew by so so fast. Seriously, where in the world does time go?
I cannot say that 2012 was a bad year, but it certainly wasn't the best. I went through a lot of tough times with myself. I made it through though, stronger and probably a better person then before I went through that.
2012 had some good things happen too, of course. The biggest for me I think would be finally being able to drive. I wanted to get my license during 2012 and I was supposed to but things happened and I had to reschedule. My test is tomorrow though eek!!
In 2012, I made some amazing new friends. The thing about these friends is that I didn't meet them at church or my tiny little private school. I met them in my apartment complex and online and that for me was something new. :)
In 2012, I learned more about myself. The good, the bad, everything. While 2012 wasn't my favorite year ever, and I won't look back on it and think "wow, that was an amazing year!" I can look back on it and use it to benefit not only myself but hopefully others in the future.
2013 scares me. It's going to be a year of change for me. For one, I am graduating this year...that is insane! So with graduating comes a ton of new things and challenges and exciting adventures. I'm going to be turning 18 in just a few months, and wow 18 just sounds too old and I do not feel like an adult! I think 18 is technically a teen still right? I do not want to be an adult!
I also have so much to look forward to this year. First, hopefully getting my license tomorrow! Then I'm headed to Arizona this month to attend a conference and see some friends! :) then, next month I have winter camp up in the snowy mountains!
In March, my family is roadtripping to Kentucky as we might be moving there. I'll be with my best friend checking out a college out there and attending a youth conference again. I am also turning 18 in March.
Then in April, I have a day planned to go to my favorite city ever, Los Angeles. When I was 16, we celebrated my birthday there with my mom and my two best friends, and so to celebrate my 18th we are doing a repeat of the day. I am seriously so excited. I don't live far away from LA at all, like an hour if traffic is good (which it neevveerr is) but I don't go there enough, so I am ecstatic about this! (Venice Beach here I come!!)
Soon after comes graduation and my first summer as an adult. Then I have an unclear future ahead of me.
2013 is going to be a year of change and I don't feel ready for it. But I say bring it on, '13.
Wishing everyone an amazing year!!!
