Driving!!!

Ok, so if you read my post about things I want, the first thing on the list was I wanted to drive. I'm 17. I could've gotten my license a year ago! Money is always an issue though and I was reading about other states and their requirements to get their licenses/permits and it is so much easier than here.



Here you first must complete driver education, then you go to the DMV, pass the written and vision test and then you get a permit. Then you go to behind-the-wheel training, the driving instructor signs your permit and you can drive with an adult 25 or older.  There's a whole list of steps after this to getting your license, but for now, I'm focusing on just getting my permit signed!

Behind-the-wheel is $250-300. Yesterday I stumbled upon a HUGE blessing. Behind-the-wheel training with A PAYMENT PLAN!!!! That is such a blessing! I will be driving VERY soon! As long as I pass my permit test (my permit expired so I have to start ALLLLL over) BUT I am very excited! God is so good!

Things I Want

My birthday was in March. Christmas is in December. There are no upcoming occasions that I would receive gifts out of (haha), but that doesn't mean I don't want some things. :) I am not usually a person who really ever wants anything. After I got my camera and my iPod, I was happy. I seriously wanted nothing. For Christmas, I only wanted an iPod, for my birthday, I said I didn't want anything, but now suddenly, I want stuff. haha

First and foremost, I want drivers-ed classes so I can finally drive a vehicle. I've wanted this forever though, but after I FINALLY get enough money for that, I want to save up to buy some new stuff. I don't usually get new stuff. My clothes come from thrift stores, my shoes, they usually come from thrift stores also, haha but I need some new tennis shoes, and I don't like buying those at thrift stores. Usually, I'd buy these at Payless, but I decided I wanted to get some name brand shoes. They last longer, and name brand, well it's cool...lol

Converse! I have ALWAYS loved Converse. I never thought of ever getting a pair of tennis shoes in any other style, and I'd really like a pair of plain ol' black chucks. Love them.

Vans! So I just said, that I never thought of ever getting another style of shoes, but lately, I've been looking at Vans, and I'm starting to actually like the style. I'm also a HUGE sucker for NEON!!!! Neon shoes, especially, and Converse didn't have any SUPER SUPER bright neon, and Vans did, so, I think I wanna buy these! :) I think one reason that Vans have been growing on me is because Vans are HUGE in California. Everybody wears them, and I might as well jump on the bandwagon, hey? And I like them, so why not?

So, after I finally go to drivers-ed, I want to buy these shoes! :) Savin' up y $$$.

Golden Hour Photography Contest

I love Golden Hour. I love looking at Golden Hour pictures. I love taking Golden Hour pictures. Golden Hour at the beach is like double awesome. This picture was taken in Oceanside, CA a few weeks ago.

Looking at my beach pictures, I have a deeeeeeep longing to go back as soon as possible. I know it's only been a few days since I was last there, but the beach feels like a part of my soul (cheeze-alert). I heard the water was really warm at this particular beach. My friend was there two days ago and said it was really nice.

Youth Conference 2012

Youth Conference was amaaaazzzziiiinnngggg!!!! The preaching was awesome, the skits were funny, the music was great! Such a greaaattt year. My favorite so far!!!

I sent in my college application yesterday!!! 16 months left to live at home, in my beautiful California! I can't believe it! I'm gonna be in Indiana in 16 MONTHS!!! 

Coronado Island (Two)

Second post about my trip to Coronado Island! :)

So we left off talking about the sand castle man, i think.

So here is me and my friends with the castle. :) the guy let us hold the tools so it looks like we made the castle lol.

The detail was amazing.

 So after we got done at the beach, we took a walk to go get ice cream at a local ice cream shop that is sorta like Coldstone, though I don't think it as good. :) It's a pretty popular place I guess. haha so this is the group of us on the walk. I'm the one in the green shirt, gray shirt with a hoodie haha i was so cold cuz I had just gotten out of the ocean!

Me with Elvis! haha, I look hilarious cuz like I said, just climbed out of the ocean, but yuppp this is at the ice cream shop.

 So after all that, we walked to the Hotel del Coronado and sorta kinda sneaked into the courtyard...

 It was really cool. It is so pretty.

 Then we went inside the Hotel and they have these little shops we looked at, and we walked around the lobby.

Alrightttyyy folks. That's all for nows. :) Tomorrow I'm going to youth conference!!! wooo!! First the conference, then Medieval Times. Yay! :) Gonna be fun!

Spring Photography Contest :)

I love photography contests! It gives me a chance to practice my photography "skills" and I love it. I've always loved photography, and I'm trying to get better at it. I'd really like to buy a DSLR camera, but until then, my Canon powershot ELPH 300 HS will have to do. I love my camera, even if it isn't a super fancy one. :D

The theme for this photography contest is spring. I took this picture at my grandmother's house. She has a beautiful garden of flowers, and I love going there just to take pictures. :)

It was really hard to decide which picture I wanted to use, as there were a few I liked, but I ended up going with this one because the colors are vibrant and I love how the brick wall is in the background and I do like this picture. :) I saw some of the other entries and they were great!

Coronado Island.

Yesterday, I was able to go to Coronado Island with my sunday school class. It wasn't a very pretty day for going to the beach, but it was pleasant weather and my friend Sarah and I actually went in the icy water that you end up getting used to after a while haha

This was my first time going to Coronado Island which is actually a peninsula since a small piece of land is connected to the mainland. We took a bridge over the water to get there which was pretty cool, and not as scary as I thought it would be.

We went to Subway for lunch. It was super good! haha Then after we got our subs, we went to the beach to eat.

even though it was a cloudy day, the water wasn't as murky as most beaches I've been to.  On a sunny day the water would probably be clear!

This sand castle was one of the coolest things about the day. This man made it because he knew there were going to be 5 weddings Saturday. It took him 7 hours and he did it for nothing. The detail on the castle was amazing. Visit his website. thesandcastleman.com
